The paper discusses the results of the tests on elution rate of pollutants from mixturesof the waste moulding and core sands disposed to the dumping groundby one of the domestic iron foundries. the obtained values of the pollution indices calculated in mg per one kilogramof the dry waste matter were compared with respective boundary values. This enabled the examined waste material to be evaluated for its impact on the natural environment, comparing the obtained values with standarts currently used.
