This congress will be held on 29th of june 2006 in Paris, France.
The objectives are :
- to detail the Eco-in-foundries Project and its main dissemination means (website, database, methodology guide),
- to present the European network already created,
- to share information about best practises for environment protection, throw thematic sessions animated by experts,
- to stimulate debate among European foundry men, professional associations, stakeholders from European foundries sectors (companies, agencies, ministries,etc…)
The participation is free of charge.

Second European Workshop on Eco-Information in Small and Medium Foundries.

This workshop is the second in a series of activities organised in the frame of the FP6-funded project "Eco-Information in European Small and Medium Foundries" coordinated by Unioncamere Veneto. The workshop will take place on 9-10 February 2006 at Unioncamere Veneto, Viale delle Industrie, 19/d, 30175 Marghera Venezia, Italy. The workshop is aimed to gather scientific experiences and expertise of the project partners after one year of activities, as well as to be a forum of debates and discussions with stakeholders from European foundries sector (companies, agencies, ministries, etc) with the aim to enlarge this specific network. The topics of the workshop will be: analysis and evaluation of available ICT tools on the web portal www.ecoinfoundries.net, hands-on tutorial for virtual collaboration in foundries sector using the existing ICT tools, related scientific activities for survey development and online content, clean technologies in the foundry sector, policies, possibilities for future projects, enlargement of the of network, management aspects and future activities, other (to be detailed soon).
